my monitor contrast option is displaying 100% whenever i switch on the system. And sometimes it is working normally. how can i solve this?

If this is a stand alone monitor, try working the buttons several times that change the contrast, size, etc. then make sure that you stop on anything but contrast so if the button is sticking you will know it.
