Question about Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 40 GB Hard Drive
Most likely due to the fact that this may be a SATA hard drive and your installation of the operating system does not know how to access this kind of hard drive due to the fact
1. It may not have the latest SATA drivers which you can obtain from your motherboard manufacturers website are not installed onto the operating system disc ( this is called slip streaming the driver onto the operating system disc ) which you can use nLite for www.nliteos.com
2. You do not have IDE mode enabled in the bios / cmos of your motherboard in terms of how the motherboard should access the hard drive - if you have an option for IDE mode as far as how it treats the hard drive then you may not need to do option 1
3. It may be an idea to disable or play around with AHCI and check the sata settings in the bios / cmos on your motherboard.
If you are still having issues then post back.
