Question about Kenwood KAC-8101D Car Audio Amplifier

Kac-8101 no power

I have a kac-8101 amp and it worked perfect until this afternoon it just quit working. i checked all connections and still nothing....but when i take the + wire and press it in place for a few seconds then remove it the blue light on the amp comes on...is my amp dead or some other problem??? thanks in advance

No its not dead u prob blew a couple of heat sensors or a capacitor. most defenetly a capacitor. ceck ur capacitor and see if its blowned

When you hooked up your amp, did you hook it directly to the head unit so that it didn't come on with the car? Did you find the inline fuse in the amp positive cable? Few things to check..

Kenwood KAC-8103D on and off problem


it sounds like the power wire might be grounding out somewhere that you dont know of it could be by the fuse link so I would say put electrical tape on any exposed wire on the fuse link first if that don't work try change the power wire.

It just quit working while i was lising to it.


check to see if your speaker wires have come loose and are shorting together this will cause the amp to quit.

Kenwood KAC-9152D Car Amp


use a multimeter to check for power on the +ve wire, could be your fuse, it only rus a sec when you jumper the remote to +ve because the remote cannot give out the nessary current to run the amp.
