Re: I am to turn a key 1/4 turn beforekeying the lock....
If you can get access to the inside of the door, the lock can be removed. Be sure you are using the correct key - try all the Kwikset keys you have. If you're completely locked out, you might need to call a locksmith.

I think a local locksmith would either be able to make the keys or give you a reason why keys can not be made for your locks. Look up 'locksmith' in your local yellow pages.
Yes, Thank you for your inquiry; At FactoryLocks.com we carry Schlage BE365PLY505. The key number is stamped on the key. You can purchase the same entry on our website, factorylocks.com with your existing locks key number. Enter the 5 digit key code on our shopping page that is on the key. We'll get it keyed and out to you quickly.
There are 3 ways: 1 With the title and Picture ID, ownership proof, go to the dealer and Cut a blank key without transponder, for less than $6. This will open the door but won't start the car. 2 Call a lock smith, they have 24/7 service, will come at your home and charge more than $100. 3 The brutal force, sometimes used by locksmith too. With a pry bar bent the upper part of the door, and with a long steel rod 1/8 to 1/6 inches thick, press the unlock button. You can buy it at Home Depot. Good Luck.
1. Contact Masterlock.com and fill out the form, get it notarized and send it in for the combination to unlock it based on the S/N which is on the lock.(http://www.masterlock.com/faq/LostCombinations/). Good luck on this since Masterlock will end up finding something that will prevent them from giving you the combination. Its quite frustrating and NOT worth the trouble.
2. Go to home depot. Buy a 24in bolt cutter ($22) cut the stem of the lock. and replace with a new lock that you can buy from home depot for $ 29.00. If you have a key that is inside the lock box that you really need, You will now need to drill out the combinations piece by piece and the door will pop open or send the lock back to Masterlock. They will retrieve the key for you and send it back.
Two solutions: (if the box is closed and it is attached to something)

Hi,
The problem you are having has nothing to do with your lock. Modern key cutting machines are so automated that they do a very poor job in key duplication. I suggest that you find an old hardware store that has an older key machine. Or possibly, it might be cheaper to simply replace the lock set. A new Kwikset keyed entry sells for about $40.00 for a lever handle. Remember to have extra keys cut at the store when you purchase the lock...so you can check the duplicates in the store. I do this at Home Depot regularly. They have a new machine, but with the lock right there, they can manage to cut some duplicates after a few bad ones.
Visit your local Home Depot and purchase a Kwikset re-keying kit. They're inexpensive and work fine but stay alert and follow the instructions properly. This kit comes complete with proper pins as well as new keys. Good Luck!
