When I press start the washer won't fill. The lights are on but it just beeps three times and the lights blink. It has done this in the past and after unplugging it or letting it set or awhile it would always start working again. This time it's not. I attempted to do an error code test and if I did it correctly (which is highly unlikely) it shows error in thermistor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your pump is either bound up with something in the chamber, or there is something in your discharge hose blocking the water from escaping.
Look on the back of the washer, and unscrew the circular port in the bottom right corner. (Keep an 8x13 baking pan underneath, water will escape once you open the chamber). Check if there is anything in the chamber that is binding the impeller. If not, remove the metal back and check that all three of the hose connections to your pump are open and have no debris/ change, etc. If there is nothing binding your pump in any of those locations, your pump motor may be failing. I would suggest calling someone out to assist you.

It appears your timer/main controller has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Mine does the same. I have to turn the cycle knob to "fill" and the turn and hold the knob on reset and press the start button. I use duct tape to hold it on "reset" so it keeps filling until I remove it from reset to stop it filling. Then it agitates drains and shuts off and I have to repeat the process for the rinse and spin cycles. WHAT A PAIN!!!
