Your eMachines desktop does not have bluetooth embedded like your Mac does. However, you can buy inexpensive USB Bluetooth adapters that will let your phone connect to your desktop via Bluetooth.
The Dell 720 is in essence a Lexmark Z605 but is compatible only with Windows 2000 and newer Windows systems. The 720s are not Mac-compatible. The Lexmark website does, however, show Mac compatibility. This does not guarantee the Lexmark driver will work automatically with the Dell 720, but using workarounds there are some reports of success. One might assume that the Lexmark Z605 drivers will work with the Dell 720, but that is not necessarily the case.
The Lexmark driver can be downloaded from here http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=recommendedDownloads&locale=EN&productCode=LEXMARK_Z605&segment=DOWNLOAD&userlocale=EN_US#1
I suspect your cable modem is looking for the MAC address of your compaq's NIC. if you run IPCONFIG /ALL on the Compaq (Start run, cmd <enter> then IPCONFIG /ALL <enter> , you can get the 12 digit MAC address.
In the router setup, there should be an option to CLONE MAC address, put in the MAC address of the COMPAQ. Then release and renew the IP address in the Router from the cable modem. The router should then get a valid IP address from the cableand you should be able to connect both systems to the router and surf.
