mine does this too. I was told that the cleaner learns a path and sticks to it. You have to switch the sections of the hose around or just twist them to a different position so it will take another path. Unfortunately, you have to do this quite often to avoid it sticking to the same path around the pool.

either the diaphragm is bad or has some debris caught in it. Remove the nut above the handle and push the white tube downward to see the diaphragm. It should be uniform in shape and should not have a very large opening inside. If it's distorted, it's best to replace it.
Testimonial: "thanks, there was something stuck in the diaphragm that I could not see from the outside its working fine now"

Often when you are having this problem with automatic pool cleaners, it has to do with the hose. Make sure that you have plenty of slack in the hose to cover the entire pool. Also, make sure that you do not have any obstructions in the hose and that it is not tangled.

The biggest cause of this is current in the pool driving the cleaner to the corners. You propally just need to change the direction of the eye balls on you returns to the pool. Face them down the pool wall or just in another direction to break up the flow of water in the pool.

any damage to that diaphram will cause the cleaner to not work. If it is only 6 months old then it is under warranty. any pool store should be able to get you a new diaphram at no cost. bring your paperwork with you to show proof of purchase.
