I think u would hv got an installation CD along with ur handycam install the softwares available in the CD... even if it doesnt work then ur windows media player is unable to play because it does not support the format. try to know the format of the flie u want to play by checking it in the properties if it is .3GP then download quick player or else if some other format then download VLC player. these 2 players are availble in free download

Hi sir. I thing i need drivers to my ccd-trv 108 e handycam to get my video int my pc. I have windows 7. And i want driver to my dcr-hc23 to.....is that posebul you can help me. ...

your sony ccd-trv 108 will transfer videos(stream) to a computer using firewire connection. install the supplied software or use any program compatible for streaming like windows movie maker. use a firewire cable. check your computer for a firewire port(port with IEEE symbol) make sure that the tape is totally rewounded then press the record button on windows movie maker as the same time as you play the video from the camcorder. (its basically playing the entire video in order for windows movie maker to record it.

How do i get movies off sony handycam dcrhc46 tapes to computer or DVD forediting

You will need software like Videowave etc, plus a Firewire cable from camera to PC, the rest is auto once your camera is in play-back mode.
Good luck.

Copying movies to computer sound won't play

Most digital HDD sony handycam video cameras encode MPEG-2 files in 5.1 surround sound audio. You probably are not hearing sound because your playback software does not support 5.1 surround sound encoded MPEG-2 files. Try using a newer peice of software with the latest codecs installed.

The file is also a video clip file not an audio/video file unlike other files that I transferred from my other camcorder
