Yeap when the magic smoke is let loose. does it work now? or did leave it alone? there will be a burnt diode, possible burt circuit traces. cb shop temple, tx on yahoo search.. and if lucky thats all and it should work fine. if the traces didn't burn they the audio transistor can get damaged. but most times it will burn the traces..

Midland 77-118. Three wires coming out of unit red, black, and orange. What is the orange for? Also need manual.

Its like the wiring in your house. That little three prong plug. There are three wires, one black, one white, and one green. The green is a ground wire , the black is neg flow and the white is positive flow. Well the red wire is hot ,the yellow wire is neg flow, and the black is ground. Some times the yellow wire isn't even connected. Look inside your radio and you will only see a red and black wire???you will have to google the radio model as such ( 77-118 owners manual)

Blows 15amp fuse even when all but the main cable is connected to the speedo. *FIXED*

Hi Barry, you have a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short. Good luck and have a nice day.

Bought a Midland CB when I hook it up the fuse shoots.

Probably was a used unit. If so someone smoked it. If its new take it back to Radio Shack. Make sure you have OBSERVED THE PROPER POLARITY.

What is the code to unlock garmin 285 w

you bought a stolen device and the code was locked by the previous owner. The only way to get the code unlocked without knowing it is to take it back to where the code was set (previous owner?) then it will let you unlock without the code. Otherwise you bought a paperweight.

2000 FORD WINDSTAR PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM)

not knowing what the prior owner did, you do have a problem, you might try to remove that fuse, disconnect the battery and re-try it, if still NO-START and the THEFT light is flashing it because it lost memory for the key code and will have to be recoded at your dealer
