Question about Midland 77-092 40-Channels Base CB Radio
Midland model no. 77-092, bought it used. did not realize previous owner put in bigger fuse on hot wire. when i powered up something smoked. removed power source. cicuit board was hot by the transformers. any permanent damage? what could be wrong?
Yeap when the magic smoke is let loose. does it work now? or did leave it alone? there will be a burnt diode, possible burt circuit traces. cb shop temple, tx on yahoo search.. and if lucky thats all and it should work fine. if the traces didn't burn they the audio transistor can get damaged. but most times it will burn the traces..
