Question about Samsung HL-R6167W 61" HDTV
My Samsung 61" HLN617W DLP TV has just recently acquired a black spot on the screen. Apparently a single pixel loss. I was wondering what caused this, If I can expect it to be repeating and what is the remedy. I have had no problems with it prior to this and have not yet had to change the bulb.
Your symptoms sounds like a one of the mirrors on your imaging chip is not working.
There is not a lot you can do about the pixel being out unless you want to replace the imager circuit board. These are expensive to replace.
As far as more showing up in the future, it is hard to say, you may not get anymore failing
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.
