Question about Intex 4000 GPH Filter Pump
I have an intex 15 x 48 pool. The old pump wasnt doing the job so I bought an intex 4000 gph pump. This pump is excellent but there is a problem. The valves dont fit on the inlet and outlet so I bought adapters for them. Another problem, it seems that the adapters allow air into the filter. I took off the valves today and hooked up the hoses directly to the adapters to see if it was the valves leaking air. It is definitely the adapters. I think the inlet and outlet are 1 and 1/4 inch. The ones with the new pump are considerably bigger and dont fit through the liner. So i am unable to hook up the proper directional fittings. Does anyone know what I can do to correct this issue? Or should i just buy a new pool liner with a larger inlet and outlet?
