is likely due to cavitation in the booster pump impeller. The easiest way to
correct the issue is to slowly close a throttling valve on the booster
discharge. If there is not one present install a ball or gate valve near the
pump discharge line and slowly close it with everything running until the noise
stops. Generally speaking closing the valve about a quarter of the way seems to
be when most pumps run quietly but the setting is unique to each installation.
