I tried different card and it worked. I'm waiting to contact SanDisk to solve the problem. Hate to lose all the pictures. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem. I am assuming that you have installed your software for the camera. Camera launcher exe is for windows XP. It is not compatible with vista. The solution is leave the software on your computer. Go to the canon website, support, software downloads. Select the eos350d, then select OS to vista and language to english and submit. You will get the option of 9 downloads. download files 3,5,6,7,8,9. They will self run and make the software vista compatible. The problem that I have now is that when I connect the camera windows tries to open it as a microsoft scanning document. However if you cancel that and open zoombrowser you can download the images from your camera using that. If I find a solution for the windows picture download then I will post it.

I had the same problem and went to Canon's website and upgraded to the most recent version 6.1 of Zoombrowser EX. It started working immediately. If it doesn't work then uninstall the software, make sure it doesn't show up in device manager then reinstall the original software. Plug in the camera and see if you get the error. If so reinstall the most recent version and I'll bet it works

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. But you didn't mention the make or model of your camera. This is important as if it's an older Canon or Sony, it might be fixed for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.
