Question about Cub Cadet Street Sign- tractor lawn riding mower parts

Cub Cadet 2165 with a Briggs & Stratton shuts off when hot. Appears to be vapor lock, as can see fuel filter emptying. After filter cools, it refills. Anyone have a solution?

It could be vapor lock. Vapor lock is a condition where the hot gasoline turns into vapor bubbles either in the fuel line or carb. When it happens, the vapors will cut off fuel flow thru the carb, essentially causing the engine to run out of fuel. You should re-route or isolate the fuel line away from the heat of the engine and install an inline fuel filter close to the carb. Also make sure that the cooling fins are not clogged up with trash or something that is causing the engine to overheat. I would also check the gas cap. Make sure the vent is clear and clean around the gasket in the cap. This can sometimes cause similar problems. Hope this helps and good luck.

I have a Cub Cadet Model 364 with a 18 H.P Briggs & Stratton motor. It runs fine for about 20 minutes. Than starts hesitating. Like the motor wants to stall out. Help!

Firstly, try to run the engine without cap on the fuel tank. If it stays running well, clean out the ventilation hole in the fuel cap ( or replace the fuel cap ).
Check for dirt in the fuel tank, fuel tank connections, hose, strainer, filter. Clean everything!

Check if you still have sparks when the engine stopped from itself.
Check if you still have compression when engine has stopped from itself ( valve settings too close )

Maybe your fuel is getting too hot and causing it to be vapor locked. Check to see how far the fuel line and the fuel filter are from the engine on the approach to the carb. If you are able move the line away some. You may want to move the fuel filter closer to the carb. so that any vapor bubbles can come out in the upper part of the filter allowing for free flow of all the way to the carb.

14 hp briggs runs fuel filter dry every 15 minutes. have to blow into fuel tank to fill filter up then it runs for a while again. whats up ?

Sounds like the tank is not venting. Try leaving the cap a little loose and see if it stays running. If it does, either the vent for the tank or a vented gas cap is plugged

My Cub Cadet 2185 only runs about 10 minutes then dies. Engine area is very hot. I have cleaned everything very well and put in a new fuel filter. Fuel pump is working.

Inspect the inside of the fuel tank, where the fuel exits the tank. There might be dirt/crud clogging the line. Also, if the fuel line is too close to any exhaust pieces, or is against the engine, it will boil the fuel and cause it to vapor lock (and stall out). Look for these items and hopefully it will cure your issues. Also clean off all dried grass/dust from intake screens. Also check your oil level. Make sure its in the good range, not over or under filled.
