Always connect the device directly to the computer, preferred at the back side of the computer.

The player needs a powered USB port connection to the computer for:

    1, Loading the battery.

    2. For appropriate connection transferring data.

I have a sansa and in order to get it to re-boot itself you'll have to drain the battery on it. Then press the menu button and hold it. it should go back to the factory settings.

I pod nano not reconized by laptop with vista usb device not reconized code 10 appears

Which USB ports are you using? I just had this issue on a customer's computer and it turns out that a 5 port USB 2.0 hub they had installed in the pc wasn't functioning properly and so I would get a code 10 on their iPod nano. I plugged it into the onboard USB 1.0 ports and it installed correctly and synched. I would suggest trying other USB ports. If that doesn't work then go to Programs and Features in Control Panel and uninstall all apple products and then reboot and reinstall iTunes.

Why is my 2gb sansa clip not connecting with my usb port. I had no problems with it in the past but now my computer wont even reconize it. Is their a driver that needs to be updated?

It seems there could be one of three problems, you are right, it could be the fact that you need to install the drivers again, and if you do not have a disk go to the company website. Second if you have to many things plugged into your usb ports it could drain the power from the remaining port and it might not have enough power to run it. Third there might be a problem with the usb port all together and you could start by finding a driver for that or replacing it. Hope i could help

Creative zen vision m 30gb

connect the zen directly into your desktop pcs usb port, in the front or in the back, don't use a usb hub unless it gets power from a power adapter.

let me know if you can get the device recognized.. or if we need to send this one in for repairs.

Usb port not reconizing mp3 payer

Have you tried to use any other usb devices in that usb port? If not, do so. If you have and they dont work, search for the motherboard manufacturer on the internet and get its driver updates. If you have tried other devices, and they do work, go to the mp3 players website and find out if you need a driver update for that mp3 player to function on your computer.

ILO not reconized

This is the worst mp3 player ever invented - i have to tell you this up front. There is no driver, the company does not support the product anymore - I would return it now while you still can.

Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
