RTH6400 Honeywell - where does the blue wire go. There is also a yellow wire. How do I connect the red wire when there is a wire clip going in the place marked R & RC???
it all depends how things are wired inside your furnace downstairs on a basic system blue is usually a common - C and yellow is for cool - Y just leave the jumper in from R & RC R is 24v power and RC is 24v power in Cool yuo will just have to squeeze the new wire in with it before you get to far i would open up the doors on you furnace and see where the connections are in there so you dont blow any fuses

our honeywell st6400c thermostat worked fine when installed but now will not run the central heating system on its own - the hot water system works fine - the central heating system only seems to work when the hot water tank is empty and when the hot water function is running- we can't run the central heating independently could this be a problem with the control panel? is this a regular occurence with the ST6400c?
