Hey there- I took my camera into the repair shop, and literally all the problem that my camera was having was that some sand and fine silt had gotten stuck in the part that moves in and out (pardon the lack of technical term here). So, after giving it a good cleaning, it works like a charm. Perhaps that will help, if you've taken the camera on vacation or use it outdoors a lot. Good Luck!

I have a samsung digital camera digimax cyber 530 - just replaced batteries and camera wont start, i get 3 flashes from the green light screen nw comes on then goes off & the lens wont retrack back in the camera
If the lens on the camera is stuck out,
look to see if it's a little crooked. If it is, try to gently straighten it.
If it still won't retract, try to gently push it in as you turn the power
on. If it won't turn on (the green light blinks and it beeps 3 times) push
and hold the 'power' button and the 'play' button at the same time for a few
seconds - it worked for my S730. Good luck!
the 3 beeping sound means that the camera has low battery capacity. the lens is stuck out because there is incorrect battery connection. there is an option on the camera setting for the battery type. try this one: -turn the camera on -click on Menu button -select options using left/right, up/down button -select Set up 2 -Select Battery type -Select Alkaline for non-rechargable or Ni-MH for rechargable -click OK button
this setting should be done when using camera for the first time and whenever you are switching battery types, from rechargable to non-rechargable and vice versa.
