Question about Maytag Refrigerators
Freezer defrost element (element within a glass tube)......Self defrosting freezers have an element that melts any excess frozen condensation in the back of the freezer.
If it trips its recommend checking the compressor for burn out unless you know for sure the elements have direct short causing this to happen. I think the compressor may have a short, start relay,or start capacitor is defective... its probably a short sumwhere swhich is causing this issue repeatedly.... first have an electrician to test for any short circuit anywhere.... and then replace the defrost heating element.... before going in for a heater or defrost thermostat
