My phone will not show it charging and wil...
My phone will not go on, also when i connect the charger it does not seem to relate to the phone, It does not seem to show that the phone is charging and on top of the phone where it normally flashes a green light it is flashing a red light. Everytime i try and turn the phone on the red light flashes.
My phone run out of battery so i went to charge it over night. when i returned to the phone (at that point it should have been fully charged) i took the charger out and tried to turn it on and the red light flashed, so i tried pluggin it in to the charger agen and when i do, the red light flashes and i can not get the phone to turn on.
I'v took the battery out of it and placed it in my brothers w580i (same model) and it worked perfect my battery was fully charged and then i tried putting his fully charged battery in my phone and it still didnt go on showing that it is clearly something wrong with the phone and not the battery. I'v also tried plugging it into my computer to see if it would trigger anything but nothing happened just like usual it flashed red.

- i went into games and then executor to see what it was then it froze i opened the phone same thing so i took out the battery and put it back in and thew same problem occured it has been 25 hours and my phone still isn't turning on! dear
you have mentioned that ur phone is charging and not getting on. that means ON\OFF path is having problem .due to dry solder of ON\OFF switch its happening. please resolder it and then check it

my phone is charging showing nokia sign and also shows that it is charging on the screen!!!!!! but it sis not getting on !!!! my n70

I had the exact same problem with my C905. Managed to solve it by using Sony Ericsson's Update Service. I basically reinstalled the latest update and it fixed my phone.
I did however lose all my contacts/photos/games/texts from my phone. Just shows you how important it is to backup your data!

seriously i gotta problem
my phone is n70 i had high hopes of chaging it last night
n when i woke up the day after
it didnt charge so i thought the charger was off
then i tryed to charge again. it didnt chage
i charged my mums phone on the same charger n it worked 100%
but on my phone its not workin
i changed battries // switch it off
but unfortanatly it isnt workin
help plz!

guys i had the same problem and was about to cry because i love my w80i...i called sony ericsson and they said to go to:
www.sonyericsson.com/support, select your region, select your phone type, click software downloads, and then update service. Download is free. :-) im going to see if it works, but the girl who helped me seemed to know exactly what she was talking about so good luck!

i tried debranding my phone yesterday. Once it was done i disconnected it from my computer and tried turning it back on. When it didn't work. I thought that maybe the battery died. So I charged it. when i tried to turn it on it didn't work and a red light came on.

ive had my sony ericsson w550i for just over a year and i have had a few problems with it. my phones battery ran out and when i went to charge it and turn my phone on it wouldn't turn on all that came up was a wite screen. the battery is fully charged and ive tried a few things like removing the battery and putting it back in, putting another sim card into it and leaving it for 24 hours.

My w580i is doing the same thing..Ive had it about 3 months and its been away getting fixed for the majority of that..This time when I got it back this is what happened to it...It wont start up and the red light flashes..

Yes i do have the same problem i tried everything i can with or without batterry, plugin in charger,Right now given to Sony Ericsson Service Center i hope same atleast now it will get resolved.I think this is a manufacturing defect.

I just got my w580i about a month ago and i turned my phone off and it wont turn back on. Everytime i try to turn it on alil red light on the clear botton blinks. Seems like many others are having same problem. Im alil pissed that they are still selling these things.

I have the same problem. Battery was drained and phone switched off. Came home to recharge the phone and connected it to the charger for days but the phone is not turning on. I've held down the red button for over ten seconds but phone does not switch on. Bought a brand new battery but still having the same problem.

At times when the battery is totally empty, that time when i plugin the charger. Its becomes very difficult to switch on the cell once again. Kindly advise.
