I am trying to fax a single page. Once the first page scans through, the fax then says that it is scanning the second page (or if I try to scan two pages, it then says it is scanning the third etc).
I then get a printout with an error message that says "TX function not completed".
Is there something I need to adjust on my fax/printer to help it to stop scanning after the page has gone through?

1. Make sure you have a telephone line connecting to the LINE jack on the side of the MFC-295CN
2. Check if you have a dial tone by pressing the "hook" button on the machine while the line is free.
3. Place a page face down on the flatbed scanner or in the document feeder on the top of the machine.
*Note: If you are using the document feeder, once the page is placed in, you should see "enter fax #" on the LCD
4. Enter the fax number the same way you would dial a regular phone number.
5. Press "Start"
*Note: If you are using the flatbed option, after the sheet is scanned, you will be asked if you want to scan a second page. For additionnal pages, press 1, to end scanning and start faxing, press 2
6. If the fax goes through properly you will see "completed" on the LCD
It's possible you're not dialing the country's calling code or not dialing the correct sequence for international calling. To place a call out of the U.S. dial: "011 - country code - city code - number" The country code for Poland is 48. The link below contains the city codes for Poland which you may not have. Best of luck and I hope this solves your problem. Thank you for using Fixya and please remember to return to rate this answer.
These units usually scan to memory then memory to phone, if there is a lot of items in memory then you may have to clear the memory, and try again, if this is a first, then the machine may not have enough Fax memory to complete the task. consult your manual, you can either add memory or switch the machine to fax directly on these jobs, this is slower than using memory but should get the job done.
tx is shorthand for transmit, rx is for receive - used since the days of the telegraph.
I am not an expert about such matters but I think a scanned image first needs to be stored in an on-computer file and then attached to an email by using the browse function from the email compose box.
Hi, I can advise you on the 'memory full' problem, mate.
If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning the first page of a fax, press Stop to cancel the scan. If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning in a subsequent page, you’ll have the option to press Start to transmit the pages scanned so far, or to press Stop to cancel the operation. In this case, send the fax by the Manual Transmission. Depending on your typical faxes, MEMORY FULL errors can occur frequently. If this happens, change the Memory Transmission setting back to OFF. To do this:
Press Function/Set, 3, 9. This should take you to MEMORY TX and MEMORY TX: ON? Then press either the left or the right arrow (< or >) to switch on or off, and press Function/Set. For the next fax transmission only, press < or > to select NEXT FAX ONLY and press Function/Set.
This will mean you don't add any more to the memory and may be able to send faxes. There is a possibility that you will only be able to fax using manual transmission, but at least you should be able to use the machine to fax at all!
I apologise if the jargon is confusing, just try to go through the process one step at a time and you should be fine.
