Question about RCA F32649 32" TV

1 Answer

Start up problem

I have a problem when the television is turned on. It seems like it is working okay, than all of a sudden the picture will go out, no picture just noise, and then comes back again. This will go on for a few minutes until the TV warms up and after that nothing happens. Sometimes it will stay out just for a second and sometimes it will stay out for a period of time. It eventually will be okay.

Re: start up problem

Your TV chassis no doubt has bad solder connections = chassis
must be pulled, carefully soldered, re-installed..........T.

You have a source box problem = contact signal provider to reset or refresh set-top box..............T.

Sometimes the picture rolls for 30 minutes to one hour and then the picture is perfect. A few times when we turn it on, the picture is okay and then after a few hours, the rolling picture starts. Where is...

The rolling is a bad filter capacitor on the signal board in the set---Any Mitsubishi dealer can look the model up and see known faults including this one---some of the sets when cold---vertical jitter in picture or just menu---If the menu is stable you have a tiny bad cap= weak caps when cold act up and when get hot regain capacitance and start to work.

TV turned off by itself and now it won't turn back on

If the tv has nothing happening at all when you try and turn it back on including any noise, your power supply is broken. If it is still trying to turn on or does make noise, an internal component has come loose or been knocked off, most likely to your picture tube.

JVC AV-32750

Resolder the vertical deflection output IC421. It is located about three inches to the left of the flyback transformer which is the part with the red cable going to the picture tube.
