ooooooooooooooooooooooop's Intex :-) Also make sure that if you do not use the pre filter bag set up and go directly to the suction source you should, when you are done vaccuming disconect the hose that goes to the pump you will most likely have hair build up and debris that will slow down the suction. Also rinse your cartridge since you have the plungers set

I disconnect the skimmer from the outlet on the side of the pool and directly attach the vacuum hose to that side outlet. It doesn't have to fit exactly tightly onto the outlet as the suction from the pump will hold it slightly. The hook that holds the skimmer to the side of the pool is somewhat fragile and can easily be broken if you constantly attach and disconnect the vacuum hose from it. Right now my hook is broken and also the vacumm debris bag has a hole in it and I am finding both of these items are very hard to find to replace.

YOU CAN DO THIS 2 WAYS IF YOU WANT TO USE SKIMMER THERE IS A PIECE THAT GOES INSIDE SKIMMER TO ATTACH YOR VAC HOSE TO HEAD O VAC FITS ON END OF POLE TWO PUSH PIN ATTACH HOSE TO VAC HEAD AND INTO SKIMMER IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BYPASS HOOK VAC SAME WAY BUT DONT USE SKIMMER PUT HOSE OVER POOL AND DRAW WATER JUST ENOUGH TO CREATE A FLOW BY PUTTING THE END OF HOSE OUTSIDE POOL TO A WET VAC JUST LONG ENOUGH TO GET WATER FLOWING DONT KEEP IT CONECCTED LONGER THAN 20 TO 30 SECONDS GOOD LUCK

WWas working just fine then hooked up vaccum and cleaned pool now the skimmer does not have any suction-- water blows out other side just fine and I have gotten all air out of lines--- any ideas

Depending on how much you vacuumed, your filter may just need to be cleaned. The filter on these units are not very big, so they can get dirty fast. Make sure it is cleaned out. Make sure skimmer basket is not clogged up, and make sure none of the flexible hoses are crimped. Also make sure there isn't anything stuck in the impeller. A stick, twig, or piece of toy, etc, can get stuck and cause low flow. Check for leaks between the suction side of the pump and the pool skimmer. One more think you might want to check is for leaks on the suction side while equipment is off. a leak here will let air into system and effect flow.

How low do you take the water when closing

Down below the wall fittings, and the skimmer so you can drain the lines. Also be sure you remove the drain plugs from the pump and filter.
