SOURCE: The battery of my XG-55 is down. I tried with

When you change the battery on this watch you have to short the circuit board. You need a fine pair of tweezers and you need to look on the circuit board for an arrow or bare spot, put 1 end of the tweezers on that place on the circuit board and the other on the battery at the same time. that should do the trick if the battery was installed correctly and the battery is good.

My casio AQ-S800W hands do not sync with the digital display. The digital is displaying 14:25 while the hands display 14:55. I do not know how this happened as before I had set the time to what another...

First of all the lag may be due to a weak battery. I find that the battery when weak can't turn the hands before it gives up on the digital part.

However, assuming your batter is okay, there is an explanation here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMnAMbaW94
Synopsis: When the watch is displaying the time press the bottom right, "Forward," button for 4 seconds. "Sub" should be displayed. Use same "Forward" button to move the tiny, sub-display hand to the "50" (12 o'clock) position by pressing it repeatedly. Press the bottom left "Mode" button then use the "Forward" and top right "back" buttons to move both of the hands on the main display to 12 o'clock so all hands point in the same direction. Then press the "Adjust" button top left and the hands should move to the time the digital time is set to.

Is watch dead or is battery dead

If your numbers dim when you push any button, it's probably a battery. If your numbers are off or very faint same problem, battery. Those watches take a 1.50 V cell because of the light, and multi functions. Any decent jewelry store should be able to have you in and out in 10 minutes or sooner.

Good luck, gabe.

Hi my xg-55 froze up, how do I fix it

You will need to take this watch in to a local Certified Master Horologist. It will have to be opened and reset from the inside by shorting the appropriate contacts on the movement. It may also require a battery to operate properly, if it has not been replaced in the past 1-2 years.

If you wear this watch in the water, you need to have it pressure tested to ensure its resistance after the procedure. This is properly done with a pressure testing machine that usually is found at Horologist / Watchmaker shops only.

Lacrosse xg 55 - Do I need to replace the battery? When I use the light nothing displays is this a battery issue? How do I change it if it is the problem?

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for
the small cost saving in doing it yourself.

Changed battery now it won't come on

Try shorting the battery case to the watch chassis (using a pair of tweezers perhaps).

This seems to be a standard instruction and I think this resets the watch.
