Ghosting, double images on my Toshiba rear projection TV
I have a Toshiba model 42H81. Now it has developed a ghosting problem. When I push the Touch Focus button, it cycles through then says touch focus error. Is it time for a new TV or is this an easy fix? Thx in advance for your help.

The model number 42pw33p is not a valid Toshiba model number. However, 42H81 is a valid number. The listing below is for model 42H81 ONLY! Double check you number before purchasing.

Sounds like your describing convergence ICs. They cost about 10.00 each and you will need to replace both of them. And possibly the resistors that power them total cost under 30 dollars if you do he soldering yourself. Hope this helps.
Can you describe the issue a little more? It may be a convergence issue which is quite common on big screens. But there are quite a few issues that can cause a bad picture.
If it's convergence, you'll be able to tell by going to a news channel and looking at the text. If the convergence is bad you'll see a ghosting like image of 2 or 3 letters for each one that should be there.
