The drains might be getting slow but the easiest way is to install a backwatervalve on the shower drain which would stop the tub from coming up inside the shower

Sounds like there may be some blockage in pipes. try to run a long snake through both drains or run all fixtures in bathroom and try plunging vigorously in tub and shower while running water. if nothing still, it may be possible that your underground plumbing is back graded or incorrect fittings and plumbing installation.

K-1357 kohler whirlpool tub there is leaking only when the tub is filled and drained. when taking showers there are no leaks 3yrs old

Overflow? Seal around drain may be good enough for shower, but leaks with a little more pressure from the filled tub. Filled tub may flex the tub and drain components. What about the overflow. I bet some water is going over, but it isn't used for showers. Double check. Paper towels tied in stratigic locations always help me find a leak. Leak makes the towel soak up water nearby. It's most wet at the point of leak.

I need to pump out a large tub in my basement to my drain because my drain is 8 feet off the floor. do you know where I can buy this pump or what it is called thanks jimmy and susan

you need to get a pump that will push water about 10 feet. sump pump is probably what I would use. Sears usually carries pumps like that as well as Steve Regan Company.

My shower will have been turned off for hours all of a sudden it gives one large gush [drip] then will not drip for a while but will do so intermittantly. ps. this is a shower not a bath tub / shower

This is not necessarily an issue, air enters slowly and eventually lets some water escape. This may happen until the water is lower than the highest point of the shower discharge circuit.

I HAVE THE AMERICAN STANDARD WALK IN TUB WITH THE QUICK DRAIN AND WHEN I FILL IT UP TO USE THE JETS, THE DRAIN WILL NOT RELEASE TO LET THE WATER OUT. WHAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM?

It could be the pressure on the drain isn't allowing the rubber around the drain pop up to come unlodged from the floor of the tub. I have ran into this problem a few times. the best way we found to take care of it was to install a push pull type drain assembly or try and adjust the drain pop up so it pops up higher allowing the rubber around it to break the seal and start to drain. take some pictures and post them i might be able to help more

When washer goes to spin cycle it doesnt drain water

Remove the hose from the drain and lower the hose to a floor drain or a large bucket. If water flows, there is a failure with the pump. If no water flows there is an obstruction, such as a sock lodged in the drain path from tub to pump. Either condition will require some disassembly to repair.

Walk in shower leak into room below

I would unscrew shower head pipe and either pipe dope it or tefilon the threads and then reinstall it. I would also take the handle(s) rosettes off and look for a leak from there with a flashlight, while shower is on. I believe the most comon leak for walk in showers are the door seals. Are you sure it is not coming out from under the door? Another test that yuo may want to preform is to Stopper the drain, fill the shower pan with water and watch for bubbles, or look for leaks from below.
