I have a B & S 14HP Twin Vanguard OHV engine which has never let me down in 15 years. However it stopped running today seemingly thru fuel starvation - new plugs and good spark. Fuel flow is good past the filter but am not familiar with the down line pieces of kit and carburetter. Someone on this site suggests cleaning the "crab" - is this the metal box with one fuel line in and two out? Any other suggestions?

David
A couple of things you might try...off the shelf from Lowe's or walmart is engine repair in a bottle...I've used it and it works, but read instructions. If that doesn't work, you may have a lacquer build up on carb. Pull the fuel bowl off carefully and check for a clear opening in the fuel pickup as they may be clogged. Remove gas tank and flush it and then make sure it's really dry...replace fuel filter and install two in series in place of one. Also, try to find a gas station that sells ethanol free gas and use it for your small engines. Hope this helps some.
