yes but unless you have the knowledge, equipment and certification ? you will need to call on a reputable hvac service co. depending on its age and size and what hey charge? it may be cheaper for you to purchase a new one?

Yes they can but you will need to purchase a piercing valve in order to recharge the unit. Sometimes it is just wiser move to buy a new wimdow unit.

Isn't blowing cold air, clened coils, removed, dirt, leaves, but still no cold air. Seems to be low on Freon. How do I get the unit charged?

The compressor needs to run, does it run? If it runs and the outdoor radiator is not producing heat, then it may be low on refrigerant. The compressor refrigerant lines, the skinny gets hot and the thick line gets cold under normal operation.
To recharge the unit, it needs to be leak checked and repair any leaks found, then recharged. The refrigerant type used needs to be known, a manifold gage set is used to diagnose and recharge.
If you have a window unit, you should have it serviced or replaced.

Can a fedders air conditioner A7Y15F2A-E be recharged?

Hello, anytime the unit does not blow out cool air I like to start with checking the airflow, check the filter and the evaporator coil for a buildup of dirt. If that check out ok then either the unit has a refrigerant leak or the compressor is not operating if the compressor is running than the unit is low on refrigersnt and can be recharged. In order to recharge the unit a piercing valve must be installed on the low side of the system, most window units do not have valves so one must be added to be able to charge the unit.

Onida window AC 1.5 ton is displaying F2, no button on remote or panel is working

That code is usually a result of a leak in the system and the unit being low on charge...find/fix the leak and recharge the unit.

How do you put freon in a whirlpool window unit

you will need a AC Tech to first 'repair' the leak and then to 'recharge' the system. Also, the Tech may have to 'weld in' service valves on the unit if it does not have them - which most window units do not have.
Note: unless you've had a 'leak' you'll never need to recharge the system. I would 'be sure' you needed to recharge the unit before having it recharged.
Sounds like you might really need to have a AC Tech look at the unit before you do anything.

Need intruction on how to recharge the freon in the GE model AGR05LBG1 window AC unit we have. Is functioning however is not blowing cool air.

Windows units do not come with service taps to check/recharge the refrigerant. They use to sell saddle valves to install on the refrigerant lines but I haven't seen them is years. The EPA may have stopped that practice because they are difficult to install properly and even when they are still have a tendency to leak. If a window unit truly is low on refrigerant then it is leaking and needs to be replaced.

If the unit is freezing up, making you believe it is low on refrigerant, it may be caused by blocked air flow across the evaporator coil. A clogged air filter, dirty coil and faulty blower will all cause this condition and are remedied by cleaning of the coil and filter or blower wheel, or by replacing the blower motor if it is faulty.

Hope this helps.

My Frigidaire FAX050S7A window mount a/c unit recently stopped blowing cold air. The fan works fine and i can even hear the compressor turn on when i switch from fan to a/c. do these need recharged?

Hi,
Yes they can leak and will need a recharge....just check first that the leak is very small or can be fixed before spending the money to recharge it...with the low cost of window A/C units you can easily get a repair bill for more then a new one would cost...
