Question about GE WSM2780W Stacked Washer / Dryer
Encountered the same problem. You can unplug the unit, remove the front panel of the washer and then slowly remove the belt. The replacement belt is easy to put back on. Finding a belt on the internet for under $10 is easy - just search for a belt with part number 134161100. Potentially the plastic pieces are from the damaged transmission. Replace the belt first to see if you can keep using the unit. If the transmission is damaged it is a bit expensive to replace and difficult to do yourself. I'll keep you posted if I have to do the same to my unit.
