Question about ASUS SiS Chipset P4S133 (P4S133/PA/LAN) Motherboard

Where to plug in start button wires, i have nothing on the screen

I have a computer that i and a friend put together a few years ago. It was fine for a couple years, then I was diagnosed with brain cancer and after months in a coma, years of chemo and radiation, and surgeories, I'm fine but my computer isnt. Friends and family assumed I wasnt gonna make it and sold or gave all my stuff away, I was able to get my computer back after sitting for a couple years. My friend that helped me put it together originally unfortunately is deceased, and my dics and manuals have been long thrown away. Now, I have an older computer and I can't get it to work, the green light on the motherboard is on, but thats it. The wires from the start button and reset button from the gigabyte tower are not plugged in anywhere and I have no clue where they go.

Here is a direct link to the motherboard manual that will have the pin layout for the power and reset switches on your case: http://dlcdnas.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock478/p4s133/e1025_p4s133.pdf

just plug the labeled wires coming from the front of th case into the pins shown in the manual and if the power switch still doesn't work try reversing the way it is plugged into the pings (switch the positive (+) and Negative (-)) and then try it again.

I have bought t this laptop about a weeks ago. It has been working fine. Today, I can't get the screen to come on. nothing was downloaded or opened that was out of the ordinary.

Maybe your battery has lost a charge or the computer is sleeping/in power save mode.

Plug it in to power first, wait a few minutes, then try the power button to turn it on.

I am trying to start another load to dry, but when I press the start button it is not responding. I cleaned out the lint collector, but still nothing. It was working fine a few hours ago. Any ideas?

I would check the door switch, you can bypass it by connecting the two wires together. This should let it start, just make sure you unplug the machine before you do this.. Good Luck Tim

My HP Pavilion PC will not start. The on button indicates it is on but it is not. Monitor says "no signal". The power supply failed a few years ago and it was replaced. Do you think this is what happened...

I do not know exactly what is going on with your computer, but if the light by the power button comes on and stays on then you can try pulling the ram out of it and then put it back in. A few years ago i had a compaq computer and all of a sudden it would not come on but the light by the power button was on. I thought the computer was shot but i contacted a tech and he told me to pull the ram out and put it back in. I did this and the computer came back to life and worked fine. Good luck. I hope this works for you.

Crazy Electrical Problem in 2005 PT Cruiser

Either wire harness problems or you got a so called lemon
One of the first books of Ralph Nader about auto industry.

Had a Hyundai like that 27 years ago. Until I took it totally apart and re-assembled it myself. 2 years ago bought a Piaggio 45 cc motorbike, same story. Took that apart one night and put it together as should be.

Frigidaire dryer

There is a switch under the lid,Look for a slot onder where the lid rests on the dryer, there is an actuator under there where the dryer lid when shut should avtivate, this switch is either bent out of place,or the little pin that hits it when shut is missing or broke off.

I have to say Mac's I know nothing about. But the simple way would be to purchase a universal USB card reader- and use that.
