Common LG LCD TV REPAIR - NO PICTURE OR BLACK SCREEN FIX ... came on good with green light working properlybut still no picture.
First check all your cable connectors & source. If those are OK try connecting a DVD player to the TV, if you still have red picture, you may have defective MAIN PCB.
you will need the complete mode/serial #s to get the correct part# for your unit.
With Direct TV, you should use the video input (composite video- yellow/picture, red/right stereo, white/left stereo) OR component video- (green/video, blue/video,red/video white/left channel stereo, red/right channel stereo)
the antenna connector should never be used anymore unless connecting an outdoor antenna or VCR.
if one of your input connectors is damaged, it is not likely that is will be repaired without replacing the entire circuit board (expensive!!!). just use a different "input"- there are usually at least 3 on most TV's
Pl. check audio/video cord for proper connection on both the ends,as there is possibility of connection problem,in DVD separate output is given for RED BLUE and GREEN.
portable DVD's encounter that problems more often.because of its folding action, the flat wire connecting the screen to the DVD board breaks and causes no picture.try to open it up and check it or bring to a tech.
I bought this LG flat TV at Circuit City last week. TV is okay, but I was trying to hook up my portable DVD player and I can not make it work. I can hear the sound that coming out from the DVD but theres no picture from the screen. I believe my connection is correct, because there is the color coding which is red, yellow and white which you just connect at the back of the TV and at the DVD player.
Can anyone help me to figure out the problem. thanks a lot
Ummm... i have the same problem and its EVERY type of cable that causes the red tint. its the tv itself. replacing all the darker colors with red. explain that?
