Question about Denon AVR588 Receiver
Try taking out all the cables on the rear, switch the unit on and see if it happens again and if not then you had a cable wrong somewhere, if it still does it it is probably going into safe mode, could be a problem with the output stage chip/s, they usualy auto-off when they sense a problem to prevent further damage.
