I have a cracked Panel that I would like to repair
I wanted to know if I could just repair the panel on the 52" LCD TV. The screen looks great until I turn on the TV and see the Spider Web on the panel. How much would it cost to repair the panel and where would I be able to get that part?

The underlying LCD panel has broken. this can happen on many devices and is often a result of a drastic temperature change. the only option is to replace the screen ether yourself or have it done at a local tv repaire center. if the product is still under warranty it should be replaced by the provider
The set needs a new LCD if it looks cracked and swirly, the colors all run together in the area of the crack don't they! If it is cracked it can't be fixed. you can replace the lcd but I am not sure if a warranty will cover a cracked screen or not. You will need to contact LG and be very nice to them and see if they will honer the warranty on this.
The no BS answer would be that's it's going to cost you marginally less than the TV did originally. I can't give you an exact price as it depends on which panel is in the TV and whether you intend to replace it yourself or have it professionally repaired. Philips 52" LCDs range from maybe US$800 to $2000, so it really depends on which model you have.
If you want to post back with those details I can get a more accurate price for you.
Cracked screens aren't covered by the warranty, but there are several options available to you:
1. Try to claim on your insurance if you have accidental damage cover included in your policy or pay extra for it. 2. Replace the TV and sell the other one off for parts. This will probably save you a few hundred dollars on the price of just buying the screen. It's fairly easy to sell them on eBay. 3. Buy a used panel or faulty TV from the same or similar model. Again, eBay is a good source for these and will save you a fair bit.
I'd suggest insurance is the best option here if you can take that route, I'm more than happy to look into the price of a brand new screen for you and also investigate the costs of options 2 and 3 but I will need to know the model number to do so.
No,tv not repairable anymore, only worth as salvages tv for it electronic boards for parts only for other the same tv models and make that it.The LCD screen panel can't be fix only replaced the whole LCD screen panel.Sorry not replaceable, because the LCD sreen panel are 90% important to the tv,LCD creen panel are limited production by the tvs corporations, only can buy it by the tvs corporations themselves, yes they'll sell it to u,but they'll charge u the same as a new tv.
in general cracked lcd panels cost more than the tv is worth.. depending on model panel replacment run 1500 to 2000.. and physical damage is not a warrenty item. do you have a toshiba or a rca the decription says you have rca r52wm24 which is not a lcd. that is a tube tv. and if it is cracked that definatly can be fix or replaced cost effective.
It is broken,The outside is a Polorised film.Like window tint,It is repairable,New LCD screen. But may be cheeper to buy a new TV. GET A EXT.WARENTY!!! will not cover accidents but the new tv's do break alot, and are expensive to repair.
Buy a name brand, NOT RCA "junk" Just a name
no longer a company. Samsung,Panasonic,Sony. If you want to support the USA buy another Sharp. Still a great TV. And made in America. NOTE they make after market screen protectors. GOT KIDS? GET ONE. :) Or even a piece of plexie glass if cash is tight. Hope this helps.
I have a 52" Samsung Series 5/ 530 Model LCD Flat Panel and I cracked the screen. The screen on the outside is not broke nor scratched but something hit it and now when I turn the tv on- it looks like i hit it with a hammer. How is this fixed? Can I do it myself?
