Question about Sega Dreamcast Console
I disassembled my sega dreamcast, and now when I tighten the screw on the metal disk-reading part (the whole thing) it starts to lift up. What's the problem. It's the disk reading part with two screws that screws it into the console. How can I tighten the last screw without the whole thing lifting up. I can only screw in the screw part of the way before it starts to lift up. Is this normal. How can I screw back in the last screw without the whole thing lifting up. I know it's supposed to lie down when all of the screws are screwed in, but this last screw by the power supply is keep making it lift up. The model number for my sega dreamcast is HKT-3020 please help!
Cripes I think you may have mixed your screws up?
1 it sounds like you are using a self tapping screw (it has a greater distance between each layer) rather than the tight screws which are for fitting the circuits together.
2 I believe there are three screw holes for the disc reading part of the dreamcast and you really only need two to keep the disc player in place, so also try another hole.
3 and one last thing to check you haven't put a screw underneath the board already?
