Look inside the bulb if you can see any breaks in the connection of the bulb. And you need to check make and model number. Check on eBay. Normally there cheaper to buy the whole unit rather then just a bulb.

I changed the bulb and the power lights wont come on

Certain Mitsubishi projectors have a built in bulb life timer, and are programmed to not allow a projector to power on unless the bulb is replaced and the bulb life timer is reset. Its a simple process:

1) Make sure your projector is plugged in.
2) Make sure the main power switch is on.
3) Hold the left arrow, right arrow, and power button on the control panel of the projector (not remote) for 3-5 seconds.
4) Release...

This will reset the bulb life timer to 0000 and allow for normal power up barring any other unforeseen issues.

My projector is a Marantz VP4001 and it is really hard on bulbs first bulb lasted 1500H send bulb maybe 600H third one 20H Not sure if I should buy any more bulbs or a new projector

I'd buy a new projector - notice how the bulbs life has decreased significantly each time you replace it. This is how they've designed these things - it's a "consumer" product. The ink cartridges for printers is the same method - they're designed to consume your money. I recommend getting a Hitachi brand projector. I used to work for them as an engineer and I know they make them last longer.

How do I find the remaining bulb life for the Sanyo PLC SE-20

There is not a set time for bulb life. The projector will have a timer built in to tell you how many hours it's been running. I've had projectors that I've reset the warning twice before I've noticed any performance issues with the bulb. That particular bulb has a life of approx 2000 hrs, so go through the menu on your projector and find the "lamp timer" or something similar to that and do some simple math. :)

Epson LCD Usage

Hi, in order for the extend the life of the bulb it is best to turn the projector off when not in use, it will save the 2000 approximate bulb life hours. Another thing instead of projecting in high-brightness use low brightness projecting. Low brightness has an approximate 3000 bulb life hours.

Benq pb7220, can't find composite video source

Hi there

You'll see at the back of this projector where the composite input is there is two holes with screws. Unscrew it and remove the part.

It looks like a DVI connctor. Check if all the pins is in order. If you can't see anything wrong - buy just that part and replace it.

It is VERY cheap to replace.

2 bulbs blown.

To be honest, most people who experience short lamp life on the Infocus X2 is on the genuine infocus lamps. If you read the user opinions here, you'll know what I mean. Me personally think that the X2 lamp filter some how manage to block the vents with dust which results in inefficient cooling in effect reducing the life of the lamp. The best thing to do is vacuum the lamp filters regularly and stick to cheap lamps as the oem ones on the Infocus X2 are also no good. Or better still, just replaace the bulb on it's own from here and save a lot of money.
