Door won't lock

That's a great question, friend!
From what you have described your Electrolux dryer is not locking or starting when you hit the start button. It sounds like a potential issue with your door latch or main control panel. Using a long screwdriver to change to position manually is the obvious solution. This tech assumes you've tried and failed.with electromagnetics involved you would need to get back in control of the moving devices. First remove the fuse that controls the door locks now try screwdriver. N/G try removing the pos+ batt lead now try manual manipulation. all else fail door panel off / eyeball what's binding up / component replacement. Hope it helps

Check the continuity of the door switch and see if the harness connects to the control board to trigger the start cycle when the door is closed.

• Door Not Closed and Locked

Unfortunately I had the same problem and it ended up being the control board not sensing the switch being closed. Had to replace the control board

Due pulling of the door forcibly the door interlock switch has damaged. So the door cannot lock properly &r the door lock switch is not functioning. Replace the door interlock switch.

it may be the lock but this model is known for board faults,take of the top panel and remove the control panel and see if the board is burnt.there was a recall on some of these machines a while ago in australia not sure where you live
