Question about LG Kitchen Ranges
I have a LG LSB5611SW/SB/SS electric range. My problem was that sometimes one of the elements would not go on or sometimes off. This morning it would not turn off which ticked me off. I had a similar problem last year and it cost me $185 for the service man to come and repair it for the $32.00 part he replaced. I solved the problem by pulling out the PCB boards and unscrewed the board controlling the elements. I noticed it had burnt on grease along the bottom so I wiped it all down and dried it off and re installed everything and it now works fine without replacing the board. The problem appears to be the smoke and grease from the oven vent runs directly past this board so I stuffed some fiberglass batting under the board to protect it by blocking the smoke past the board yet still venting outside when the oven is on or is cleaning. Hopefully this will stop any future problems. I found this service manual link on a similar model helpful to understand the functioning parts.
