My goodness! It does work! Was a bit sceptical at first. Thanks for saving me a few hundred dollars!

Well smacking in on your leg does work. Turn your camera off and hit it each time a little harder. Try it, it does work.

I can't believe it worked. I turned the camera off and smacked it on my leg about 3 times. I put the camera back on and it I now have an image and not a black screen. I now can take pictures.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't believe it worked. I am so so happy. I really like this camera and have enjoyed it very much for the last 3 years with no problems at all until this one. Again thank you

With the power off, hold the camera in your palm and smack the front of the camera on your leg or arm. You might have to smack it a few time to get it to work. It has to do with the camera CDD lense (shuttle) being stuck. By smacking it around, it will free up the lense. Being extra gentle with it though. It worked for me. Hope this help.

Try to get out mem card and turn on camera! If work fine problem is in card! You need to format your memory card! You will lost you picture! Before format try to copy images on your HDD. Format card in card reader!
