Jeep grand Cherokee 99. I replaced the starter & now the right side Windows, door locks & alarm aren't working! Remote locking & alarm not working.

I dough changing the starter has anything to do with it ! Unless you pulled on the wires an one broke Ground or a power wire ! I'd check wires in the door , the boot going from body to door . wires like to break inside ! would cause windows an locks not to work !

I have my cb grounded and a wire ran to the postive side of my battery terminal and the antenna wire ran and my cbs channels wont come up we thought it was jus my cb so we hooked another up and it did the...

Here is the deal, even with out antennas hooked up, you should get at least your channels on your cb showing, no of course you would have all noise and distortion with out antennas hooked up. And sense you hooked another cb up with same results it tells me, number one, it is not most likely your cb. If your channels are not even lighting up, then this tells me it is not getting power. I know you said that the cb is grounded, and there is a wire ran to the positive post of the battery. What I would do first of all make sure proper wire on cb is grounded and not reversed accidentally, but what i believe is your not getting power to the unit, if it was properly installed, there should be a inline fuse from the cb radio to the positive post the wire is connected to on the battery. I believe there is a inline fuse that is blow, or not a good connection on the post of the battery. To test this theory, take a long piece of same size wire gauge, and run direct from positive on battery to positive post on battery, of course making sure that the proper wire off the cb is grounded (must be grounded to something metal, might find different spot to ground the radio if not for sure on metal) If you get lights going on then on radio, then your problem, was not a good connection or inline fuse on positive wire that maybe you didn't see was blown. Let me know Mike

So my truck is an 1989 Chevy scottsdale, C/K1500. It will not turn over, when I turn the key forward nothing as if I didn't push the clutch. Lights all come on when the key is turned forward,...

THe power and grond wires from the battery have been an issue on that truck for years. Firts - the ground wire goes to the aluminum accesorie bracket on the front of the engine. oddly enough it will supply enough of a ground to run the engine, fuel pump, lights, radio ect. but not even click when the key is in the start position. usually when this happens the little wire coming from the battery ground wire going to the fender naxt to the battery to a 10mm bolt is burnt also as it usually tries to carry the current to start the engine but cant so it gets burned up. Move the ground wire from the accessory bracket to an intake manifold bolt on the right front of the intake OR the thermostat housing bolt where the pcm wires are connected. make sure you clean the bolt in which you move the cable to.
now.... another problem is that the + and - cables can corrode inside of the casing and you can not tell sometimes. sometimes you will see a swollen spot or bubble in the cable where is has corroded and is no longer making contact inside the insulation. Once again until it completely fails inside the insulation it will run some of the vehicles accesories. I was stumped on one of these at the dealer once and never forgot what i just told you. FRUSTRATING so dont feel bad. I hope i have helped you - Good luck! Scott

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD and ever since ive had the truck ive had trailer light problems. The problem I have is I dont have running lights and the right side brake and turn signal do not work. I...

Check the plug wiring again on the truck. You have a wire crossed , when you hit the lights and it only blows with the trailer, then there is a crossed wire on the truck. What seems to be happening is your sending power to the ground for the trailer. You can check the trailers ground with an ohm meter, then make sure your truck ground matches that pin. You may know this , but green rght turn, yellow is left turn, brown is parking lights, black is brake lights, and white is ground.

I have a VRVD630 i cant watch dvds because i dont know were to hook up the orange reverse light wire and the parking brake wire

the parking brake wire just needs to go to a ground other than the ground for the deck and the orange reverse light wire you shouldn't have to worry about it if you turn on the deck and you still can't watch movies try hook it up to the illumination wire.

Kicker impulse 254 amp red light on top?

1st check all of your wiring, make sure the remote wire is hooked up, check to see it the RCA's are hooked up. I know this sounds stupid, but i've done it a thousand times, check to see if you hooked up the speakers. If you checked all of those and still nothing, double check your ground. Make sure where you have it grounded, you have all the paint sanded away and its a good grounding point. The red light on the top of the amp, its not a protection light is it??

Signal lights on R1 don't work...

Though I can't recall what the wire colors are for your bike's turn signals, here's how to figure it out: on the turn signals that you bought, first determine which wire is the ground by removing the light bulb and then checking to see which wire has continuity to the turn signal's metal bulb socket base.
Then find out which wire is the running light and which is the turn signal by hooking the ground wire and one of the other wires to a 12 volt power source. Which ever wire makes the brighter part of the bulb light up is the turn signal - the dimmer one is for the running light.
On the bike, match the turn signal wire to the bike's wiring that is 'hot' with the turn signal switch on. Plug the running light wire from the turn signal into the bike's wiring that is 'hot' whever the key is on. Hook the turn signal ground wire to the bike's ground wire(s).

My kenwood amp wont turn on

What kind of "Clips" did you put on? They may be causing too much resistance and preventing the amp from getting the current it needs. Double-check with a voltmeter that you are getting at least 12 volts at the amp power connections and make sure your ground lead is as short as possible and connected to solid metal of the vehicle's chassis.
