You have to turn the graphic accelortor down, or install a fix. you should be able to click here and select your system config. and install the drivers needed. some systems before vista just arent compatible right out of the box. thanks and pls post a response if you need any additional help.

Tip

Which Windows Vista Edition are you?

If you are upgrading XP to Vista, make sure you backup and have the program "Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor"

Download Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=42B5AC83-C24F-4863-A389-3FFC194924F8&displaylang=en

Be Sure to Backup with a removable media such as CD's, Floppy Disks or USB Flash Drives, External Hard Drivers.

Windows Vista Editions:

Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows Vista Starter
Windows Vista Enterprise

These also include 64-bit.

Lastly, if you have XP and if it's Vista Capable, you don't need to use the upgrade advisor, you are allowed to use any, but you must download the drivers after upgrade.

Did you reformat the entire hard drive when you installed Vista? If you formatted the recovery partition you won't be able to go back without a Xp installation disc.

Vista is a system that by nature is slow, even though it is rolling like a jack rabbit. For someone like you, you have led me to believe that you like fast equipment for gaming, why should you buy a Vista, when a humble Windows XP home edition, will come with an apparent speed much higher? Vista simply is wizzing at consirable higher speed, only to exchange polite words, "playing house" as I call it. Windows XP Home Edition looks much faster, because it is concentrated with the results, rather than saying polite words or playing house. Now we say nothing against this Vista concept. I am sure that it fills certain needs and as long as someone does not make me to take one home and removes what I have right now. Thanking you very much for your consideration or our service...

System properties, xp pro

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type this in the run box: c:\Windows\System32\oeminfo.ini
Something like this should open in notebook:
[Version]
Microsoft Windows Whistler Edition
WinVer=5.01
[General]
Manufacturer=vpr Matrix ™
Model=Personal Computer
SupportURL=http://matrixsupport.net
LocalFile=c:\matrixsupport\file.html
[Support Information]
Line1=”Visit us online or call our toll-free Customer Support number 24/7!”
Line2=”http://www.vprmatrix.com”
Line3=”cb_transparent_l.gifus.gifspace.gifspace.gifarrow.gifspace.gifspace.gifspace.gifspace.gifspace.gifspace.gifspace.gif(800)332-4800cb_transparent_r.gif in the USA and Canada.”
Line4=”"
Although I wouldn’t play with anything under the version section, you can edit the information in the other sections. You can edit anything to the right of the = sign.
Save it before you exit notepad and you’ll be set.
You can also edit the bitmap that will be displayed on this screen by changing this file:
c:\Windows\System32\oemlogo.bmp
It must be 172 X 172 pixels in size.

Scattagories Exits Suddenly

You're able to get it to run on XP all the way through? I commend you! It's designed to run on a Fat32 OS (98/ME) instead of NTFS (Xp and newer) .. I personally own the game and I've made images, and all sorts of work arounds, never been able to get it to work all the way. On XP it'd start up and play, but exit to desktop with no warning. On windows 7 (aka newer vista) it plays, but no video, just sound.

Upgrading the OS Windows XP not possible

Upgrading from OS Windows XP:

you can upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista(ultimate, premium, home, business.......),
you have to buy a Windows Vista CD and install a fresh copy or format.

Some Minimum Requirements:

i) Min 2GB RAM or atleast 1GB RAM(if you have>1GB RAM installation of Windows Vista will not continue)

II) External Graphic Card. for some versions of Windows Vista(to run Aero Interface, special feature only   in some versions of Windows Vista)

NOTE:

"Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor" is a software from Microsoft which you can download from internet, this  can help you determine which features and edition of Windows Vista will run on your computer.

 i.e., when u load this software on windows xp it will suggest which upgrade version of windows vista          will suit your system(based on you system configuration. or hardware components.) and then            you can install the upgraded version of windows xp(mostly windows vista home,.........)

Thanking You

Upgrading windows xp to vista

You can upgrade from your current edition of Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000 to a corresponding or better edition of Windows Vista by purchasing and installing an upgrade copy of Windows Vista.
While selecting the edition of Windows Vista that's right for you, it's important to clearly understand what hardware your PC will need to ensure the features you want will run reliably.
