Question about GE 24 in. GSD3610Z Built-in Dishwasher
Ok, sounds like you have a plugged pump, you need to remove the front panel on the very bottom of the dishwasher, but before you do, please turn off the power at the circuit breaker, after you are sure you turned it off then take a towel and soak up as much water off the bottom of the dish washer as possible, after you do so, you will need a few things, a plastic garbage bag or a piece of plastic sheeting, a flat screw driver, a philips screw driver, a adjustable wrench, like a crescent wrench, this is where you remove the front panel, it should have about 4 to 6 screws holding it on, once you have it off, locate a plastic box not square completely, it will have a hose going to and from it, it usualy has a clamp on it holding the cover on, take the plastic and place it flat on the floor under it, then take a dry towel and lay it on the plastic, you will have water come out of the pump as soon as you remove the cover, along with debris, so now that you have done that, take the clamp loose by prying with your fingures or screw driver, after you get the clamp loose remove the cover slowly, so the towel soaks up the water, clean out the pump box of debris, and wipe the seal on the cover off with a paper towel to make sure it is clean, along with the box edge where the seal touches, then replace the cover and secure it with the clamps, after that is done take a couple cups of water and pour it into the bottom of the dishwasher and wait to see if any water leaks out if not you can remove the towel and plastic from under it and clean up, replace the cover and turn on the power to the dish washer, and run the dishwasher to see if you fixed the problem...........you will always have some humming, but not as bad, also their is a product that you should run every month in their, it is sold in the dishsoap isle by the dishwasher soap, comes in a square bottle to keep your dishwasher clean........hope this helps..........any other questions let me know.............
