No signal going to monitor

1-Check out your video card to make sure it is properly seated in mo bo. 2- If video is from on board chip then add a video card to see if that works - if so your mo bo video is done.

Will not go into bois, will not bootup. I've already checked drives, memory. pci and tried another power supply.

Mo bo is DEAD. Unless you can spot a bad cap(s) somewhere just replace it wit identical unit to keep things easy.

If you replace mo bo with one other than original, depending on OS you have, you may or may not have to reload completely.

I have a msi board that is not beeping during bios, what could be the problem ?T

If the motherboard is not posting there could be something wrong with your bios. OR, if you have a problem with a peripheral that might also cause the mo bo to not boot up - in the latter case remove all items except the memory and attempt to post. If it does add items one by one until you come across the epripheral that will not allow the mo bo to boot.
If no post with all items removed then the mo bo is definitely suspect. U can try using a new bios chip but that is not a guarantee that it will work.

Sound problem

If audio circuits on mo bo do not work only thing you can do is continue to use separate sound card or replace the mo bo with a new one.

Stops after 3 seconds, no video, no bips, fans running, power led on,optical mouse led

Mo bo has gone to mo bo heaven. It is not posting so something is definitely wrong with the board itself. Maybe the bios chip has gone south.

No audio output compaq v5000

Speakers do not usually go bad. Using device manager attempt to re install the audio driver in laptop. If that does not do the trick then your audio circuitry is fubar. Since you cannot pop in an audio card as in a desk top only remedy is mo bo replacement - not recommended due to high high mo bo cost and labor intensive. For what it would cost to fix, cheaper and better to replace unit.

Hi, i have a DFI INFINITY-NF-ULTRA2-M2 MO-BO and i have 2 0f the 4 mem slots filled. I am unsure of the total available exspansion capabilities of the mo-bo. I have moved several times since building this...

If 2 memory banks are filled totalling 2 gigs then you can obviously add another 2 gigs totalling 4gigs. This is a lot of memory for a system & although I'm not sure if your board can handle 2 gigs per bank, I personally believe that 8gigs is overkill & unneccesary.

Best wishes,

Mo bo K7VTA 3 vers2 will not properly identify 1.4 Athlon chip - sees it as 900 Athlon. Ditto for 1800 XP - comes out as a 1.15. Using PC2700 DDR in lieu of PC2100. Can that be the problem?

Set FSB frequency from 100 to 133 and your CPU should be working at correct speed. The settings that you should apply are:
  • JP2: short pins 2-3,
  • JP3: short pins 1-2.
Jumpers are located near CMOS battery.

If this is the solution for your problem, please rate my post.

Can cpu multiplier be set on ecs 6100sm-m mo bo?

Yes, I use AMD's program called Overdrive.

Be warned that increasing the mulipler also increase the voltage, don't go to high or you will have a smoked processor.
