How To Calibrate the Lift Motor on Quinton ClubTrack Treadmill

The following describes the steps required to calibrate the lift motor on a Stairmaster (Quinton) ClubTrack.
  1. Enter service mode on the treadmill by using the following keys at the same time:
    • Faster - Slower - Stop Belt
  2. Allow the lift motor to free spin by removing the bolts from the metal block on the jack screw.
  3. Press the up arrow on the control panel until the incline is at 5% then press the down arrow and take it back down to 0%. This will allow the lift motor rheostat to find its range.
  4. Spin the metal block on the jackscrew to allow 1 - 1.5 threads to be exposed from the top. Secure the lift motor back to the frame by inserting the 2 bolts through the bracket holes and into the metal block. NOTE: Double check the spacers on each side to make sure they are flush.
  5. Run the treadmill incline up to 15% and check the jackscrew to verify it has not bottomed out before reaching 15%. There should be around 4 - 6 threads exposed. Bring the treadmill back to 0% where there should be the same amount of threads exposed from the top of the jackscrew. If you see the correct amount of threads the lift motor is calibrated.
NOTE: If there is an error on the display panel, ex. E211, you need to manually turn the jackscrew back to 0%. To perform this unscrew the 2 bolts from the bracket securing the metal box and jackscrew allowing it to freespin. Use a shop rag or towel to wrap around the jackscrew to prevent damage to the threads. Using a pair of pliers (channel locks or vice grips recommended) manually turn the jackscrew back to 0%. Once this is accomplished run through the above steps to perform the calibration.

Try to clear the error message. God bless you

1 )Locate the reset switch on the underside of the treadmill console. Usually the button is large enough to trigger with a pencil eraser or Q-tip. Plug the treadmill plug back into the wall. Press the reset button one more time with the Q-tip. "CL21" should appear on the screen. Press the enter key. The display will change again and show "CL22." Keep pressing the enter key until the numbers cycle through to the number "CL26." Press enter one more time. The letter E should appear on the display screen.

  • 3

Press enter twice more. The letters "SS" should appear on the screen. When this happens, press the start/stop key. Making sure to keep well away from the tread, press enter to start the treadmill. The treadmill will start on its own. The treadmill will stop on its own after a few seconds. When it stops, press the power key two times. Remove the safety key and put in a safe place. I have a quinton club track treadmill that posts an E203 error

E203 = Motor unable to run. Usually caused by the VSD Lower Board. This board is about 14" square on a Quinton Clubtrack Hyperdrive 3.0

Rather difficult to remove escpecially if your not familair with electronical compnents in a tight space.

My reapir coast $374 from J&R Technical Services and exactly one year later I got the exact same code. Warranty is 90 days.

It appears they rebuilt one of the components on the board called a Phase Modulator. There are three of them. They stated they had replaced it, but upon close inspection it appears that simply replaced the bad micro-component on the modulator and reinstalled the exact same phase again.

I'm debating whether to trust them once again. Little choice though since they control the market and have the equipment to reset the board upon repair. Nobody at thome has this equipment.

My Lexmark T522 printer is showing: 954 Service, NURAM Failure

info from the lexmark site:hope it helps!
Printer is Posting a 953 or 954 Service NVRAM Failure Message ID: ENUS9756
To clear an NVRAM error message:
Turn the printer off.
Leave it powered off for at least a minute to give it a chance to reset, then power it back on.
If that clears the error, continue using the printer but keep an eye on it for the next day or two to see if the error returns. If the error does not return, the printer should be fine.
If the NVRAM error does return, you can try resetting the printer's NVRAM as follows:
Turn the printer off.
Now press and hold down the right Menu arrow button (>), the Select button, and the Go button at the same time.
While continuing to hold all three of these buttons down, turn on the printer.
Keep holding down the buttons until the printer displays Clearing NVRAM or Restoring Factory Defaults, indicating that the printer is performing an NVRAM clear. You can release the buttons at this point. WARNING! Do not power off the printer during this process.
When the printer has finished the NVRAM clear, it should return to the Ready mode.
If the printer has not gone back to Ready after fifteen minutes, turn off the printer and then turn it back on again as you normally would.
If these steps do not clear the NVRAM error, there may be an issue with an installed option on the printer. Electrical options (like flash memory, network cards, code SIMMS, and additional RAM memory) are the most likely causes. To see if an installed option is causing the error:
Turn off the power and remove any options that have been installed. (For information on removing memory or code SIMMs, click here.)
Turn the printer back on.
If the NVRAM error continues, the printer will probably need service.
If the NVRAM error is gone after you have removed all of the options, power off the printer again.
Reinstall the options one by one. Power on the printer each time to see if the NVRAM error returns.
If the NVRAM error returns as soon as you reinstall an option, that option may be causing the error.
Remove that option.
Turn off the printer and reinstall all remaining options (if any). If the NVRAM error appears only when that one particular option is installed, that option may be defective or incompatible with the printer.
If you can reinstall all of the options and the NVRAM error is gone, an option may have been loose and simply needed to be reseated. Again, keep an eye on the printer for the next day or two to see if the error returns. If not, the printer should be fine.

If your printer looks like it will need service and it is still covered under its factory warranty, click here for information on how to contact Lexmark Technical Support.
