My LG wm2032hw (approximately 10 years old) has recently become very noisy when it is in spin cycle. What causes this, and what to do?

It sounds like your drum bearings are about to go. I am not familiar with this model, but I would assume it is pretty much like all other front-loaders. Bearing kits can be purchased for all models but there is a great variance in cost eg. in europe €25-€75. It is also quite a difficult job to undertake for the sunday diy enthusiast as it involves stripping down the machine and removing the drum. If you are going to repair the machine as opposed to replacing it I would strongly advise doing it asap and continued use will cause the bearings to collapse rendering the machine irrepairable. Hope this helps.

Very noisy on spin cycle only

Hi, please describe the type of noise you are hearing. If it is a grinding type noise, it is likely to be the drum bearing.

LG WM2032HW Washer

You may have a bearing problem and it will need to be looked at by a qualified LG technician.  That is a big job and will require total disassembly of the tub and drum assembly to get to the bearings.  There are 2 of them.

Lg wm2032hw

check the pump filter and if necessary clean it up.
if you stop the programme and hold the start/ pause button for 3-5 sec the programme will cancelled and the drain will work.
if you hear a slow noise from the pump it may be blocked with external objects from your clouthes pocket,

so you need to contact a repairman.

My old Hoover top loader Washer is noisy & doesn't spin out properly - how can I fix it?

Sounds like the switch which cuts the machine off when the load is unbalanced. My guess is that: This switch is being triggered too easily The springs holding the bowl up are either stretched or one is broken; The machine may not be level.
