It probablby has a timer in it. You can reset the timer by turning it clockwise, and the compressor would come on again. It is usualy located under the concoles where the setting button is located. Look for a small hole under that console. If a thermal breaker is making the compressor cut off, it is usually located on the compressor where all the wiring are going in, along with the starting capacitor. Usually if the compressor is overheating and making the thermal breaker go off, there is a problem with the compressor, or it is low on refrigerant. A low refrigerant will make a compressor overheat. Furthermore if the compressor has been being overload by low refrigerant, it will be damaged sooner or later, by overheating the elecmotor inside and causing a short. If resetting the timer don't work and it is indeed the thermal breaker, unplug the machine and get it service, which I hope the compressor is still okay.

Dometic RM2852 refrigerator, check light. When on electric power the check light occasionally comes on. I realize the check light relates to operation on gas, but my light is occasionally illuminating while in Auto mode. Problem occurs maybe once a day. Cycling to OFF, and back ON resets the check light. Refrigerator works normally on gas with no check light. Switches from electricity to gas occurs normally. Refrigerator works normally on electricity, except for the occasional check light. Cannot find this problem described anywhere. What are your thoughts? Bob
