How to fix the timing on a Burnett Deco 500 Embroidery machine?

I recently got this machine out of the box it had been stored in. When I put it away before storing it, everything was working fine. My first attempt at embroidering I was able to use Polyester thread and spell out JERSEY and then the bobbin was out so I couldn't continue sewing until winding a new bobbin. I chose the one of the silver metal bobbins that I purchased from my dealer a couple years ago. The dealer said they would work with this machine. I wound regular polyester thread in the bobbin and maybe that is what started this problem...I'm not sure. I've tried using the paper type bobbins and still no luck. At the first sign of trouble the needle was hitting too far down in the bobbin case (racer), and it made an awful sound and stopped the machine. I've worked on this all day and could probably fix it if I only had access to a repair manual. I'm not sure what position to set the bobbin racer in when setting the adjustment from the top right inside the machine where the rod turns. Now, the needle isn't scraping the casing, it is tangling up the threads in the bobbin case. Any idea where I can see an online schematic for this Deco 500?

Not a simple solution. What makes you think that it is out of time?

Unthread the machine and take the needle plate off and bobbin case out. Insert a new needle, ensuring that it is all of the way up to the stop. With the needle in the highest position, turn the machine on and select straight stitch center needle position.

Turn the handwheel slowly towards you and observe the needle as it descends into the hook area.

When the needle gets to its lowest position and raises 2.5 mm, the point of the hook should be directly behind the needle. If it is, reassemble, rethread and retry. If the needle and hook are not in sync, you will need to take it to a dealer. Timing issues require specific steps and tools.

Need a manual for bernina bernette deco 600 and more information on the machine.

Yes, I need a manual for the Bernia Bernette Deco 600. Following the death of my daughter, My grand daughter said she did not want any of her mom's sewing equipment. I kept them for her and now she feels she would like to have the embroidery machine. However, we were unable to locate the manual for the deco 600. I am unable to locate one on line...only good reason...due to my inexperience at the computer I am unable to locate a manual for her. Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Top color thread showing on bottom of embroidery on a Bernina Deco 330 embroidery machine

Upper tension is too loose or lower tension is too tight. This might be a good thing. It depends upon how much it is pulling the thread under. A perfect tension on embroidery is about 2/3's lower thread and 1/3 upper thread showing on the bottom.

It could be that there is a loose piece of thread, or some fluff which is obstructing the tension gauge. Try blowing around the theading area (or even run the hoover pipe near it to see if you can **** it out). I cleared mine by folding a piece of non fluffy material and rubbing gently between the tension dial and machine.

Good luck
