Nintendo DS left trigger malfunction

During game play the left trigger is always being pressed Without me holding down the button. I don't know what's wrong with it. the Left trigger is being held down by something other than my finger. Does anyone know of how to fix this, disable the trigger, or what's wrong with it exactly?

The l and r buttons have springs behind them it could be the spring has snapped and the button has fallen onto the switch. the next time it happens hold the ds upside down if it stops its the spring if it doesnt stop then its the micro switch gone faulty and you would have to open up the bottom casing and replace it, its soldered on the motherboard and is smaller than a pea with 5 soldered joints.

Nintendo ds lite l button doesnt work

Does it click when you press it or does it seem to be out of position? If so, that's an easy fit.To fix this you'd have to open up the DS and re position the button and the pin holding it in place.

If not that, its probably got something to do with the trigger inside the DS. When you press the shoulder buttons, they push into a button just below them on the motherboard, which sends a message to the DS. If that has fallen off or started malfunctioning in any way, it could definitely be causing this. You'd have to order one online (link provided to an example) NINTENDO DS LITE BUTTON SWITCH REPAIR PARTS 4 NEW and then solder it in after desoldering the other one, if you know how to do that.

If not, there are probably some repair guys with an ad on your local Craigslist who'd be happy to do it for you for a quick buck.

I bought a used Nintendogs DS game for my daughter and would like to reset it. Anyone know how?

Pu the game in , turn your device on hold A, B, Y, X, L and R. Keep holding it down until it says "Would you like to erase?" also you may need to hold the stylus in your mouth when you press all these buttons start the game and then confirm you like to reset the game , Thanks

Nintendo DS start up menu disappeared.

take out all of the games in the ds then the menu should come up then click the little ds picture at the bottom. that will take you to another menu. click on the wrench in the pink box, then click the top box which has an arrow pointing into a box. click the top box which says manual mode then press confirm. the ds will go off then when you turn it on it should go to the menu even with a game in. hope this helps! =)

Reset ds games

It worked for me. The L & R bottons are the ones on the back corner on the unit. Just hold down all 4 bottons on the inside with your thumb while pressing the two on the outside back while powering on and off and on again if necessary. You'll get it.
