My CD's will not play on my Denon 2910 anymore. The DVD's have no problem and play fine (sounds and picture). However, when I enter a CD, the display indicates " loading" and then jumps to 00H00M00S. To the left of the time indiactor the word "progressive" is lit up in red.
I have no idea what th eproblem could be. Can anyone help?
I have the same problem with my Denon DVD-2900. The unit stops loading/reading next cd that i put immediately after finishing 1 cd. I have to repeatedly re-load the disc or switch off the unit for a while to make it play a disc again.
I have exactly the same problem with Denon DVD-2200, I guest it is manufacturing problem? I have exactly the same problem with Denon DVD-2200, I guest it is manufacturing problem?

I bought a Denon DVD2900 in gold around 5 years ago and never used it until this Feb because I had no space. Plays DVDs and SACDs and the quality is truly fantastic. It refuses to play CDs, though. I have dozens of CDs and they are all in perfect condition. It has read a few of them but it will not recognise any now. It cost £800 and I think it's an absolute disgrace. My PC has a £20 DVD RAM drive and has never given any problems. Maybe Denon should start using £20 transports and optics in their high-end 'universal' products. I will never buy another Denon device again.I bought a Denon DVD2900 in gold around 5 years ago and never used it until this Feb because I had no space. Your denon amp amp does not match and work well in some players for instance "Samsung" no pictures and sound via HDMI input. Only replacing players to another brand such as LG can fix the problem.
1)just open the player 2)remove the rubber belt connecting the dc motor 3)you
can open the disc tray now 4)if there are any dust particles or obstacles in the door way just clear them up by using the cloth(dry cloth preferred) 5)if you have any greasy material like vaseline,oil,etc then just put that in the door for easy movement of the disc tray
6)if needed change the rubber belt which is connecting the dc motor 7) just reconnect the rubber belt again and then just
fit all screws that s all
what s more your player s disc tray will start ejecting like the previous how you were using..
any doubts you can reply me i am always here to assist you thank you bye
You need to clean your laser lens my friend. If that does not help, I'm afraid then that your laser assembly is going bad and on its last leg. The first clue to this is that you stated that the Cd's work and the DVDs do not work properly. The laser, when it gets weak, starts to mess up on the Dvds first but the Cd's will soon follow. Good Luck
double check to see if your cables are fully seated in their sockets, also if this still isn't helping try doing a manual check of the cables themselves your video cable might have gotten pinched and separated.
Verify that the tray is empty/no disc in the player;
Shut down/off with the front panel On/Off button and not the standby;
Press and hold the Open/Close, Play and Skip Reverse (I<<) buttons;
Maintain pressing on the above buttons and Power-ON the player with the On/Off button, (again while still holding the above buttons till the "Denon 2910" disappears from the display);
pls wait till LOADING completes and the front panel would display 0:00:00;
Using the remote control, enter 7, 3, 1, 9, 4, 6, 2, & 8;
The Denon 2910 will go into standby mode. Soon as it is on standby, pls press the Standby button on the front panel;
Pls verify region free update by pressing the Stop and Skip Forward (>>I) buttons on the front panel. The display would show “Region_Ax” The x would be the former region number that the Denon 2910 is locked into;
Should it not work ouot as expected, pls redo all the above steps.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
By this time I figure most peoples warranties are expired. So give this a try:
1 Open the case. 2 Turn the unit on and load a disk. 3 On top of the disk transport, you will see a black disk trying to spin as it reads the disk. You might notice that it is a bit quite as the display goes to 00H00M00S. It should be fast and a bit noisy. 4 Try loading a disk again, except this time, try to help that little black disk spin. It might take a couple of attempts, but I was able to get my 2910 working again.
The last year I've had to do this 2-3 times. But it works. From what little I have read, it may just be an issue with lubricating the right part with the right oil. I've narrowed my choices to PTFE 3n1 oil, Lithium oil, or silicone oil.
I have exactly the same problem with Denon DVD-2200, I guest it is manufacturing problem?
I have the same issue. DVDs, fine. SACDs, fine. CDs? 00h00m00s
