This means that your evaporator drain pan is plugged. Get on the roof and lay down next to the air conditioner. On the bottom of the unit about 2/3 of the way towards the front, you will see two white nipples sticking down through the base of the AC. These are the drain ports for the evaporator tray. You need to take a long pick or something similar and clean the holes out. It does not hurt to open them up a little to prevent this from happening in the future. If you can't get to them or cant reach them, the ac will have to be removed from its mount and lifted up to gain access.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

are you saying the outdoor unit does run, then shuts off?

if not, there may be fuses in the disconnect

if so, it may be going out on low pressure, possibly high pressure....clean all coils, filter, blower wheel, inspect coil if possible

I have an Emerson (4 Speed) direct drive blower for my gas furnace. What is the process (wire color codes) to change speeds on the blower. (I have a red, black and yellow wires taped off in the wire...

There should be a wiring diagram on the motor itself. The colors of the wires vary depending on voltage and model. Generally you have a med/low and med/high setting, I'm not sure what you are getting to with the low/high setting unless you are trying to set up staging. Check the motor for a diagram, if that is not present post back with all of the wire colors coming from the motor and the voltage.

Have a duo therm ac and the low ac and low fan not work -

Thermostat on wall, or manual controls at AC? Did it work for you on low before now? Reason I ask, is that normally they are only a 2 speed fan ( low and high) so if it's a wall thermostat and has been changed from original, perhaps it the way the thermostat is wired.
