Where is the cmos battery located on a toshiba satelite A105-s2131

There are several access panels on bottom of your laptop. These should have markings that designate what is behind each. CMOS battery can be either behind the hard drive panel or the memory card panel.

Alternatley, you can try this link to Tom's Hardware where someone is discussing how to do on a similar model. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/247842-30-replace-cmos-battery-toshiba-satellite

I have a satellite A105 and When i turn it on it asks for password but I don't have the password. So how to I get past this to be able to use it again?

just remove the cmos battery

the bios stores the password and the cmos battery provides it power to store it

if you remove cmos battery the bios reverts to factory settings and the password is removed

cmos battery is different than the laptop backup battery

cmos battery is found inside the laptop case on the motherboard, you will have to open the laptop to remove the cmos battery

Toshiba A105 will not start trys 3 times then quits

Motherboard problem most likely. You should try reseating the memory and also starting without the battery. If you're feeling brave you could also unplug the cmos battery for a few minutes.

Find a local repair shop or someone on craigslist that will perform a free diagnose. Wait while it's done. Should only take 5-10 minutes to determine the problem.
