Question about Amana ALE331RAW Gas Dryer
Our amana new NGD7200TW gas dryer won't turn off. When the timer gets down to 5 minutes left, (set on sensor dry/regular) it resets itself to 65 minutes and keeps going.

It would be unusual but this could be a bad timer in the control panel. The only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance. If possible use the meter and the wiring diagram to check input/output voltages looking for discrepancies between the diagram and the actual meter readings.

SOURCE: dryer starts but wont dry
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glowssometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many differentthings that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

The error should be "ts" from what you have described and this error means that the dryer thermister is either shorted or open. If you have already cleaned the lint filter then it is the thermister that is located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct that is bad and should be replaced. If you want you can test this part for continuity and if bad replace it, as it cannot be reset. If thermister is fine then test the thermostat, thermal fuse located near thermister for continuity.
